Brooklyn Center Rotary: Service Leader in Brooklyn Center

The BC Rotary has long been known as the a solid member of the community. Our priorities are focused on bettering the city in service to the people of the city. Some key points about our work in service:

BC Students of the Month

BC Students of the Month
  • • We primarily serve the Brooklyn Center Community - a community high poverty, struggling families and wonderful people - a community "on the move" in Northwest Hennepin County.
  • • BC Rotary has been involved for many years with the Salvation Army, and we volunteer to do Christmas Bell Ringing to raise funds, and support their summer program for kids.
  • • We honor outstanding "Students of the Month" from Brooklyn Center High School. In addition, the BC Rotary has provided over $40,000 toward instruments for the Brooklyn Center High School Band.
  • BC Rotarians clean-up Centennial Park in Brooklyn Center in the fall and spring.
  • We join many volunteer organizations serving the Salvation Army through bell-ringing during the Holiday Season.
  • We raise our funds through dues, fines (weekly donations) and the annual Poinsettia sales.
  • Brooklyn Center Rotary, along with Rotarians around the world, have four guiding principals (seen throughout this site) that lead our actions: Truth, Fairness, Build Good Will and Friendships and activities that are Beneficial to All Concerned.
